If you are feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed out, or if you are not experiencing happiness and fulfillment in your life or relationships, HOPE is the best place to start.
HI, I’m Susan, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I have been working as a therapist since 2004, and I work with adults of all ages. I am committed to working with individuals who want to overcome their problems and challenges, find joy and meaning in life, and live their true selves. I understand that change doesn’t always come easy and it takes acceptance, willingness, and commitment.
My approach to therapy is a collaborative process with you, that begins with developing a trusting and supportive relationship that will allow you to self-reflect and grow. In my work I use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques that are intended to help you gain insight into the things you want to change, learn how to manage unpleasant thoughts and emotions, focus on your values, and live in the present without interference from the past. In addition to talk therapy, I will encourage you to participate in activities you enjoy such as music, animals, nature, art, yoga, and exercise. I know how important it is to our mental health, to make the time to do the things we enjoy.
I believe that everyone has the ability to overcome the challenges and hardships that life can present. Therapy is a great way to start to move forward to achieve your goals and live an authentic life.
