I’m Tia and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that therapy is a time to be our true selves and explore our emotions in a safe space. Some modalities I implement in my therapy are Solution-focused, CBT, Gottman Methods, Narrative and Strategic. Through these modalities, I am goal-oriented and direct, all while taking the time to explore the issues at hand in order to meet your desired goals in therapy.
I work with teens, adults and couples ranging from interpersonal to relational issues by highlighting strengths and appropriately challenging cognitive thoughts and behaviors. I prefer to implement techniques and modalities to suit your needs and your goals in therapy to create growth.
In my sessions, I follow your lead and build a strong relationship in order to create mutual trust. Therapy can feel intimidating to begin, and through being my authentic self in session, I strive to create an environment that leads to growth and positive change. I look forward to working with you and achieving your goals!
